Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Conor Sapp and Jennifer Simpson
While you're joining us in Newport for our wedding weekend, we hope you take some time to explore and enjoy the local sights, eats, and coastal experiences. Below we've shared a few of our favorites and some highly recommended spots for you!
Bowens Wharf

Bowens Wharf

Bowens Wharf, Newport, RI 02840

Summer is the most lively time of the year on historic Bowen’s Wharf, known as the anchor of Newport. There is great shopping, outdoor dining, live music and the kick off spot for most boat tours.

Cliff Walk

Cliff Walk

Cliff Walk, Newport, RI 02840

One of Newport's most iconic destinations is the 3.5 mile Cliff Walk, with stunning views of the Atlantic to one side and the historic Gilded Age mansions to the other. A lovely, relaxing walk accompanied by the sounds of crashing waves.

Tour the Gilded Age Mansions

Tour the Gilded Age Mansions

44 Ochre Point Avenue, Newport, RI 02840

Dive in and embrace the Gilded Age by touring these incredible mansions also known as the New York high society's "summer homes." The Breakers is the largest of the mansions, originally owned by the Vanderbilts and then donated to the Newport Mansion Society to be a museum. We toured it on our first trip to Newport and the architecture will truly blow your mind!

Castle Hill Lighthouse

Castle Hill Lighthouse

800-870 Ocean Avenue, Newport, RI 02840

This is where Conor proposed! A gorgeous cliffside overlooking the Narragansett Bay, this lighthouse will forever be such a special place to us.

International Tennis Hall of Fame

International Tennis Hall of Fame

194 Bellevue Avenue, Newport, RI 02840

This is a museum to tour AND also open to the public to play tennis, just bring your tennis whites!

The Sailing Museum & National Sailing Hall of Fame

The Sailing Museum & National Sailing Hall of Fame

365 Thames Street, Newport, RI 02840

Newport is considered the Sailing Capitol of the World!
