How We Met

06.01.2017

Haley and Conor first crossed paths when they were kids. Conor's father, who owns Macleod Construction, was building houses near Haley's mom's house. They met again when Conor's friend Peter was dating one of Haley's sisters, and they would work on motorcycles in Haley's mom's garage. It wasn't until a sunny afternoon in June when they ran into each other in their childhood neighborhood of Woodstock. Haley was with her mom, and Conor was alone. Although Haley didn't recognize Conor, Shawn (Haley's mom) was waving at him. As Conor went to wave back and tried to flirt, he accidentally opened his car door into himself, resulting in a bump on his head. Despite the mishap, he waved, started his truck, and drove away, trying to play it cool. However, fate had other plans, and later that week, Haley ran into Conor while walking her dog. This time, with no truck to get in his way, Conor asked Haley out on a date. The rest is history.

The Proposal

4.01.2023

Yes, we got engaged on April Fools' Day at Cape Disappointment. If you know us, this is pretty par for the course! The real story behind this is that April is Haley’s birthday month. So, we planned an epic trip to Astoria with Jess, our amazing photographer, to capture some nice photos. As we arrived at Cape Disappointment to take photos, Conor pulled a ring out of his pocket and told Jess, "I've been walking around with this in my pocket for months, and I think this might be the best chance I get." The shoot continued, and we got out on the ridge of Cape Disappointment where Conor got down on one knee and proposed. Haley said YES, and we've been celebrating ever since. We're so excited to celebrate with you all next. See you in September!
