Maid of Honor
Katherine has been Erica's bestie since 2009 when they transferred to the same college (once an eagle always an eagle) and Conor's bestie since 2011 when they went to Morocco together to study abroad. She loves them both because they make her laugh and let her cry whenever she needs to do either.
Best Man
"Do you want to live with me?" was more or less the first thing Conor said to Nathan. That may seem a bit bold, but Conor was looking for a roommate for his study abroad semester in Morocco and time was of the essence. It's a good thing he asked, because that time as roommates has led to years and years of friendship. When they lived together in DC, Conor and Nathan spent their time seeking out the best Italian food, rooting for/against the NY Giants and generally trying to maximize their Beer-to-Work ratio. Nathan first came to know Erica as "Katherine's hilarious roommate," but now they have a rich friendship of their own, built on a shared sense of humor and a nerdy sense of superiority over not having to use the mouse in Microsoft Excel. Nathan is thrilled to be the Best Man, but we all know Conor is truly Best's Man.
Matron of Honor
I’ve had the privilege of knowing Conor since he was born on October 6, 1990. Despite a little bit of a rough start (I’m sorry I kinda punched you in the nose on your first birthday) he has been one of my best friends and favorite people. I’d also like to apologize for accidentally stabbing you in the butt on your 13th birthday. Although it seems there may be a pattern on violence against you on your birthday, those two incidents were isolated and October 6 has been problem free since 2003. He knows me better than I know myself and when I tell him “I don’t know what I’d do without you”…it’s a completely truthful statement. I cannot imagine having a better brother. I met Erica in August of 2014 and she’s been part of the family ever since. She’s gone from Conor’s nice girlfriend, to someone who I care about and whose company I enjoy, to one of my dearest friends, the best Aunt to my boys and a real sister. From our brief time in a gang outside The Hershey Pantry, to our obsession with Sister Wives and everything in between…I’m really lucky we get to do life with her.

Thank God for American University's study abroad program in Morocco. Of course, neither Ramya nor Erica participated in that program (as if!), but it still managed to bring them together as "friends of friends." Ramya, Conor and Erica spent their DC twenties (early 20's for some, late 20's for others...) just a social jog away from each other, and even a floor apart, when Conor and Nathan lived together. Erica is a patient listener, hilarious human and a lifelong friend. Ramya can't wait to celebrate two of her favorite people, despite them unforgivably getting together on her birthday.

Christie and Erica were randomly assigned roommates when they transferred to American University. The roommate algorithm did something right, because they became fast friends, staying up late listening to Hall and Oates, finding every free activity to do in DC, and figuring out how many meals you can make out of a can of chickpeas. Their lifelong bond was solidified when they made the life-altering decision to adopt and co-parent a baby gorilla together (no gorillas were harmed in the making of this friendship - Ubuzwu was and is safely living in a wildlife refuge in Rwanda). Christie loves Erica and Conor because they care about community, can always find a joke or a laugh, and support each other unconditionally.

Conor is my cousin and we grew up together. I knew from the first time he talked about Erica that she was going to be fantastic, and she did not disappoint!! They are two of the best people I know in the whole world. I am so grateful to be apart of their most special day!

Conor and I met in 4th grade at Landisville Intermediate Center. We've been really good friends ever since and have some good stories that we always joke about whenever we get to see each other and catch up.

Erica: July 22nd, 2017. Saturday. Overall, it was a good day. Weather history suggests clear skies and a moderate temperature. I was accosted by Erica and co. at Common Ground (RIP) after the bar's collective cover of Mr. Brightside. Still unclear why but working through it in therapy. Conor: October 2018 (exact date unknown). I quickly became aware that Conor was one of those friends who was always willing to have another slushy with you. Sorry I ruined your character's moral compass in Red Dead Redemption 2.

Erica and I met walking along Massachusetts Avenue at THE American University and the rest is history. After countless hours of James Bond movies, Titanic references, playing Rock Band, watching Bravo, and dragging countless unwilling friends to midnight showings of The Room we truly became best friends. Conor entered the picture after Katherine introduced us after going abroad and I finally had someone in my friend group to talk sports with. Conor really is one of the nicest and kindest people I have ever met and I'm so glad he and Erica found each other. I can't wait to celebrate and I promise I won't throw spoons at the reception!
