FAQs

Question

Our wedding celebration spans two days. Do you have to attend both?

Answer

We can’t wait to celebrate with you! Our wedding celebration spans two unforgettable days, and we welcome you to attend both. It is important to us to spend as much time with our guests during our celebration as possible. We are going to be doing life together, so our time of fellowship is valued! However, we understand your busy schedule. So you can choose what works best for you. Let us know when you RSVP!

Question

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

Our ceremony will begin promptly at 3 p.m. Please arrive no later than 20 minutes before the ceremony to ensure that everyone is settled in time. There will be a photo slide show, music, and people to smile and wave at while you wait for the ceremony to start. If you arrive late, you will be asked to stay outside the sanctuary in the narthex until the ceremony concludes.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Friday’s ceremony in the church sanctuary is a semi-formal event. Dresses, suits, and the like are appropriate. Saturday’s reception is more of a “garden-party vibe,” so be dressed more casually for BBQ, yard games, and June weather in Chicago.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We look forward to celebrating with our nearest and dearest! Please note that we can only accommodate the guests listed in your invitation.

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

We are excited to have a mix of indoor and outdoor activities! The wedding ceremony on Friday, June 20th, will be indoors at our church. The wedding reception at St. James Farm on Saturday, June 21st, will be outdoors, with plenty of space to gather under the pavilion or play in the sunshine.

Question

Will parking be available?

Answer

Both of our venues have parking lots for you to park in. Handicap parking is available for those needing it.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Our wedding will be alcohol-free, but don’t worry—we’ll have plenty of fun, great food, and good vibes to celebrate our big day!

Question

Can we share pictures?

Answer

We’re keeping our wedding ceremony unplugged so everyone can be fully present for our special moments! We ask that you kindly put away phones and cameras during the ceremony, but feel free to capture lots of moments during the reception! After the big day, we’d love for you to share your favorite photos (and check out others!) with the hashtag #GonnaBeGlynn. We kindly ask you to wait until the day after the reception to post them. Thank you for helping us share in a timeline that feels best to us! After the big day, we’d love for you to share your favorite photos (and check out others!) with the hashtag #GonnaBeGlynn—but we kindly ask you to wait until the day after the reception to post. Thanks so much for your understanding!

Question

I have allergies. Who should I tell?

Answer

We want everyone to have a delicious time, and our family understands all allergies and sensitivities! If you have any dietary restrictions or allergies, please share them with us when you RSVP, and we will work with our caterers to ensure you have a safe meal.
