We were introduced to one another through mutual friends on our high school track team. Little did we know that summers spent running around (literally) in the hot sun, eating Chipotle for every meal, and goofing off with friends would grow into the life we have built together over the last decade. Then came college, starting our careers, adopting our two furry friends, and buying a home. I guess you could say we are all grown up??
He had it all planned out... a trip to California, a wine tour, a hike in the redwoods forest, and then... 2020 happened. Being a man who does well under pressure, he quickly pivoted the proposal plan to my birthday trip to Estes Park. On our last day of the trip, Connor planned a walk around Bear Lake because he had heard, "It's a good place to take pictures." If you look at our photos, you can see he wasn't wrong (shout out to his cousin Rachael for her stealthy and excellent photography). I had no idea a simple walk in the mountains would also be the perfect day I will never forget. Later that day, we had our families over to tour our recently purchased home. Much to their surprised delight, the house tour came with a bonus announcement! đź’Ť
