We're getting married!

We met while out celebrating St. Patrick's Day in South Norwalk surrounded by friends, lively music and a whole lot of green. Somewhere between the celebrations and the chaos, I made sure Jack didn't go hungry and force-fed him a slice of pizza (a bold move--we know), and Jack returned the favor by gallantly carrying my purse for the rest of the night. What started as a festive evening full of laughs turned into something neither of us expected. Our connection was easy, natural and meant to be. That St. Patrick's Day was the luckiest one yet. From our slightly silly but perfectly fun beginning, we've been side by side ever since.

We had plans to go to a New York Rangers game...or at least that's what I thought. What I didn't know was that Jack had something much bigger planned. Before the game, he brought me to Bryant Park where he completely surprised me by getting down on one knee and asking me to marry him. In that moment, everything faded away--the city, the noise, the people, the plans--and it felt like it was just the two of us. All I could think about was how lucky I was to spend forever with my best friend. Of course, I said YES. But the surprises didn't stop there. After soaking in the moment, he led me to Jack Doyle's where our family and friends were waiting to celebrate with us. Getting to share that joy with some of the people we love most made the day even more unforgettable. We left that day feeling so surrounded by love and still do every single day. It was the most perfect way to start writing our next and newest chapter.
