For years we told our families that we met at a bar in Bowling Green. Well... after several years together, we thought it was safe to tell everyone the truth. We matched on Tinder! After talking via text and phone call for a few weeks, Connor invited me to come to Columbus to meet for the first time and spend New Years Eve together. I was crazy enough to say yes (obviously after creating an exit plan in case things went south). Luckily, we hit it off and have been together ever since!
Connor had been planning spontaneous date nights for months in preparation to catch me off guard when the time came to propose. The week leading up to the proposal, Connor told me he wanted to take me to dinner on Friday night. Connor folded up a few pieces of paper with names of restaurants on them and I picked one out of a hat -- Milestone 229. Me, being the planner, offered to make a reservation. Connor immediately shut it down and said he'd take care of it (which was not the norm). That was when I began getting suspicious. Friday came along and I was on high alert, so of course I went through my whole closet trying to pick out the perfect outfit. Connor came home from work (early, which he also never did) and changed. Finally, we arrived at the restaurant. The second we got out of the car Connor tells me "they just sent a text saying there is a delay in our reservation". I knew he was lying, but pretended to go along with it. Connor led me down to the water near the restaurant where he had a beautiful proposal set up. He got down on one knee and popped the question. Of course, I said "yes"! We are getting close to the big day and we're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you!
