It was an average day at Walmart in the rustic town of Kingsville, Texas. He was shopping for chicken, she needed ham, but all that was forgotten when they locked eyes over the twice-frozen, flash sale pork-chops. And even though he didn't use his talent for punchy lines that day (and material for puns truly abounded), he still managed to catch my rib-eye. A couple weeks after our meat cute (I mean, they write themselves), that same flushed, handsome man from Walmart handed me a bulletin before church on Sunday. It didn't take long, but after a few dates I realized I had found the only man of his kind and I never wanted to let go. After a few months, Conn was sent up to Whidbey Island to fly with the big birds many miles away, while I stayed in Kingsville to finish pharmacy school. Despite the distance and the origin story, our hearts grew fonder. We are so excited for this next step together, to have you all here for it, and to learn about the love of Christ through our marriage.
