We met on October 21st, 2016 when I was in the Philippines (Davao City) with my father(Bryce) and step mom(Donna). The day we first met, I was at Shiela's Aunts house for a welcome barbecue since it was my first time in the Philippines. Our first introduction was a brief and shy encounter but quickly turned to curious conversation with each other. After a few days later, all the friends and family planned an over night trip to a small destination town to Island hop. During those two days we got to experience and really meet each other. The moment that we both fondly remember was when we both held hands, but this was because we were about to jump off a rock into some deep blue salt water. But that moment a spark lit, trust was made and we both made that jump into the water.
Our relationship started out and has been long distance for 3 years. This truly tested our patience, will, and commitment to each other and we learned much from that experience. I was able to fly over and visit her in the Philippines once a year to every 6 months depending on my job, as well as her University schedule and her own job. In November of 2018, I traveled down to see Shiela, we had decided to take a vacation on an island called Boracay in the Philippines. While on the sandy beaches this is where I popped the big question! a few tears were shed but a big yes and smiles were the result. We Began the process to allow her to travel to the United States afterwards and after one more year(2019) she landed in the united states with me and we have been living together since November of 2019
