Amitabha Stupa and Peace Park
Highly recommended! This stunning park is a must see and one of the couple's favorite places in Sedona to visit. This Buddhist park is considered to be a mindfulness park where people can go to observe some peace, practice meditation or simply to enjoy the special nature that Sedona has to offer. There are two trails to take you to the temple. Both are easy hikes around the park, but they both require you to hike uphill to access the park itself and these uphills areas are easy to moderate depending on your physical activity. Please be mindful of how loud you are speaking around the temple. Parking is free and plentiful. Some shade. ** Always make sure to take plenty of water with you! **
Rachel's Knoll
Looking for some peace and quiet with some jaw dropping, effortless views of Sedona and the red rocks? This is your place to visit! This area is incredibly special and there are little meditation areas you can wander off to around the hillside. No hiking necessary and small fee to enter (they close at sunset). Parking is limited, only 20 people allowed at the hilltop at a time. Limited shade. ** Always make sure to take plenty of water with you! **
Sedona Airport Scenic Lookout
One of the best places to watch the sunset with a gorgeous view of the town of Sedona! Small fee to park. Short walk to the lookout on flat ground. Plenty of parking. No shade.
Red Rock Loop Road
One of the best scenic drives in Sedona! Windy road and some pull off areas depending on the vehicle you are driving.
Tlaquepaque Arts & Shopping Village
Lots of fun shops to check out! Beautiful area to walk around at and great places to grab a bite to eat. Lots of parking, but the area can become very congested depending on the day of the week or time of day you are visiting.
Mystical Bazaar
Looking for crystals and gemstone jewelry or wanting to play around with trying out "aura photography"? This is one of the couples favorite go to shops with affordable prices!
Thunder Mountain
One of the brides favorite red rock formations in Sedona to hike around! This area features 3 trailheads and all 3 are moderate hikes with steeper grades and rocks to hike around. Recommended trail is the Andante trailhead and is moderate, shorter trail with some steeper grades. Thunder Mountain trailhead is also amazing and recommended for experienced hikers. Moderate with some difficult areas with heights and steep grades. Parking can be limited at both trailheads and limited shade. ** Always make sure to take plenty of water with you! **
Fay Canyon Trail
Arizona is the home of canyons and Sedona is no exception! Looking to immerse yourself in a easy, family friendly hike? This is the trailhead for you! This hike will lead you to the backside of Sedona, where nature takes on an immersive feel and the hike leads you into a spectacular canyon. Some of the trail is flat, but there are some gentle grades to go up and down here and there. There is a lot of parking space and plenty of shade on the trail. ** Always make sure to take plenty of water with you! **
