Dear Friends and Family, With recent changes in Virginia about concerns for COVID-19, we have made the difficult decision to postpone our wedding. This was an extremely hard decision and we’re honestly heartbroken that we have to let a years worth of planning just fall apart and that we cannot celebrate with you all as planned. However, every single vendor we’ve hired has been so understanding in this process and shown so much grace. We’ve had lots of friends and family check in on us. And my family has been helping us figure out a plan moving forward. We are reminded of how loved we are and are so thankful for all of our friends and family ❤️ And your health and safety are our top priority! We will hopefully find a new date and reschedule very soon. We will keep you updated regarding our future wedding details. Love, Connor and Robin
As of 3/17, I messaged our venue to see whether or not they are still hosting our wedding amid the COVID-19 bans/guidelines. According to our venue, the VA governor has banned public gatherings (parades, festivals, etc.) of 100 or more, not private events. The governor's guidelines may be different than his bans, but for now, our venue (& a few other venues they have communicated with) is open and ready to host weddings. All of that to say... WE ARE MOVING FORWARD WITH OUR WEDDING! We are expecting right around 100 people. Considering health concerns, if you feel like it is best to distance yourself, we will certainly understand and not hold any negative feelings against you. We will of course have pictures, videos, and stories to share with you if you are not able to attend. We love all of you dearly and are greatly looking forward to the day we have been dreaming of our whole lives. **We will keep you all updated via our website as best we can if there are any changes.
We suggest renting an Airbnb! They are cheaper, more private, and easier to room with big groups of people (which means more fun!). But if you would like to stay in a hotel close to the venue, then search hotels in Roanoke, VA!
No, but we love dressing up, so we just ask that you dress in whatever you consider to be your best!
