From the moment we met in July 2020, we knew something special was in the air (besides COVID). What are the odds we meet during a lockdown? An unforgettable first date, takeout dinners and movies at home, and simply the way we continue to make each other laugh, our journey together has been filled with love, adventure, and countless cherished memories. Over time, we’ve grown together—learning, supporting, and discovering the beautiful rhythm of our relationship. From spontaneous road trips to quiet nights in, every experience has shaped the love we share today. Now, we’re thrilled to take the next step, surrounded by our family and friends, as we celebrate this exciting new chapter. Thank you for being a part of our story. Early in our relationship Mercedes and her family were planning a big trip to Greece. We had been dating for about 5 whole minutes and Connor had to decide if he wanted to go on a 10 day trip the following year to another country with this girl he’s just getting to know and her whole family. You probably think she’s nuts for even asking him and he’s nuts for saying yes…but here we are 5 years later, with memories to last a lifetime. I guess you could say we knew pretty early on that this was a forever thing.

In October 2020 Mercedes & her cat Penny went from renting a 1 bedroom apartment to owning a 3 bedroom house! The space & time for all things girly were indefinite. Fast forward to 2022 - Connor & their dog Najee enter the scene. Girl dinners became date nights and an extremely needy (but adorable) Doberman came into the mix. The girls no longer ruled but the boys definitely drooled. Owning a dog together strengthened (& tested) our relationship, bringing us closer than ever.

5 years in and it finally happened! We’re engaged! It was a BEAUTIFUL Saturday sunset on the beach in Pismo. Nature truly couldn’t have done better. Connor planned the day out to perfection and kept his cool the entire time keeping Mercedes on her toes questioning if this was actually going to happen (although she said if he didn’t do it then - in Pismo, where we officially started dating, on Valentine’s Day weekend, walking on the literal beach, at sunset….then she was gunna be mad lol). There was laughter and a feeling we’ll never forget—the certainty that this was the start of forever. Looking back, it wasn’t just about the question—it was about everything that led us there. The journey, the love, and every small moment in between that made us realize we were meant to spend our lives together. And now, surrounded by the people who have cheered us on from the start, we get to celebrate the most beautiful beginning.
