Our Story

Date your friends!

Connor and I met in 2017 at Shenandoah University in Winchester, Virginia. We were both on the golf team and shared several classes together. The men’s and women’s teams were a tight-knit group, so we naturally became close friends early on. Everything changed in the fall of 2019. We had plans to go to a Kane Brown concert with a group of friends, but one by one, everyone bailed at the last minute. Connor and I still went—and that night turned out to be the real beginning of our story. Crossing that line from friends to something more wasn’t easy. We had to break the news to our teammates and navigate the shift in our relationship. But since we already knew each other so well, things progressed naturally and quickly. About a year later, we started the next chapter: long distance. In August 2020, Connor moved to Rome, Georgia, to be a Graduate Assistant at Shorter University. A month later, I moved to Boiling Springs, South Carolina, to start chiropractic school at Sherman College of Chiropractic. Between the distance, new cities, new friends, and new routines, we definitely faced our fair share of challenges—but we always stuck by each other’s side. We celebrated each other’s wins and were each other’s biggest supporters. In August 2023, Connor accepted a job at St. Mary’s University and moved to San Antonio, Texas. I joined him in December 2023 after graduating. That’s when we started the next exciting chapter—living together. A year later, we adopted our dog, Todd, and in March 2025, Connor proposed using my grandmother’s 20th anniversary ring. Now, we’re enjoying life in San Antonio with our sweet pup, building a life we truly love together.
