We're Getting Married!

It’s funny to think that it all started with a swipe. A swipe that turned into a message, a message that led to a conversation, and a conversation that completely changed the course of our lives. I have to admit, I was a little nervous about the idea of meeting in person. After all, online conversations can feel so different from real-life interactions. But the day we decided to meet, it felt like something special was about to happen. Our first meeting was serendipitous. Connor FaceTimed me while picking out sheets for a bed he didn’t even have yet, and I remember feeling a little spark—something about the way he was so thoughtfully including me in his home without even knowing me. Without a second thought, I invited him to stay at my apartment, offering him a place to rest so he wouldn’t have to sleep on the floor. It felt like the most natural thing in the world, as if fate had quietly nudged us together, even before we realized it. The moment we saw each other in person, it felt like we’d known each other for years. I looked into his eyes and let slip a “you’re pretty” he wrapped me in his arms and we fell into a moment of peace and calm that would still be with us to this day As we spent more time together, we discovered how perfectly we complemented each other. What started as a casual connection turned into something deep and meaningful. The love, communication, respect, and laughter we invested in our relationship brought us the greatest gift we could ask for: a loving partnership. And now, here we are, getting ready to stand in front of each other to make a lifetime commitment to each other. It still feels surreal sometimes — that something as modern as online dating could lead to a love like ours. But I truly believe that in this vast world, it was fate that brought us together, even if it started with a swipe.
