While we DO NOT have a discounted block of rooms at this hotel, BW is only a few blocks south of our venue and may present a more budget-friendly option for guests who have already had to deal with other travel expenses in order to be with us on our big day.
Flight
Chicago's largest airport is just 18 miles away and offers many direct and connecting flight options for our friends and family flying in from anywhere around the country or the world. *************** Public transit ($2.25 each way) Taxis (approximately $30-$40 each way) Limo service (can be booked through the hotel’s concierge)
Flight
Conveniently located only 10 miles away, Midway is a great airport for anyone to fly into, however, it could be especially convenient for our Western friends since Southwest has several flights into Chicago via Midway. From Boise, Mark and I most commonly fly Southwest connecting through Denver or Salt Lake City, and there never seems to be a shortage of flight options. *************** Public transit ($2.25 each way) Taxis (approximately $30-$40 each way) Limo service (can be booked through the hotel’s concierge)
Train
The Blackstone is close to the Ogilvie Transportation Center and Union Station providing access to the Metra Train and CTA systems, including the Red Line EL train.
Travel Note
For any guests who are unfamiliar with the city, we recommend utilizing the abundant supply of Uber, Lyft and taxis in place of renting a car. While it might seem enjoyable to have your own vehicle, parking can be limited and expensive (especially over multiple days), and the city is easily walkable for anyone wanting to see the sights.
