Their story began in January of 2020. They both grew up going to the same school and they knew of each other, but they had never really spoken before. Well, one day, Connor decided to take a chance and shoot his shot with Macy. They started talking and Connor was never shy about telling Macy how he felt from the very beginning. He would always compliment her, telling her how pretty she was and how much he enjoyed talking to her. Macy didn't know how to feel about him at first, but it did not take long at all for her to feel the same about him. To her, he was cute, funny, and so easy to talk to from the very beginning. On March 11, 2020, after their very first date, Connor asked Macy to be his girlfriend. However, they didn’t see each other after that for almost three months due to COVID-19. But even with the distance, they continued to get to know each other better. They spent those months texting, calling, and facetiming every minute of the day. About a month into dating, Connor told Macy he loved her, and she felt the exact same way. Despite their age, they both knew their feelings were genuine, and with each passing day, their love for each other only grew. That summer, they were finally able to see each other again. Connor invited her to come to his house where she would go with him on his four-wheeler to the river where they finally had their first kiss. From that moment on, they were inseparable, spending every moment they could together. It didn’t take long for them to start talking about their future. They both knew they were meant to be together, and they couldn’t wait to get married and build a life together. Over the next few years, they grew together, sharing new experiences and making memories. As Macy graduated and went to a nearby college, Connor started his senior year of high school. After he graduated high school, Connor enrolled in the lineman program at the same college she attended and graduated six months later, landing a job that had him on the road often. They had to figure out how to make their relationship work with the distance, but even through the tough times, as usual, they figured it out. Connor saved up and worked hard to plan for their future, knowing Macy was ready for the next step (as she often reminded him). He began planning the proposal, knowing it had to be something special. With help from a few family members and friends, he set up the perfect spot—on a deck overlooking the same river where they had shared their first kiss. Pictures from their years together were hanging on the rails of the deck, and flower petals were scattered about. When Macy realized what was happening, she was overwhelmed with surprise and joy. It was everything she’d ever dreamed of and more. Now, they are just counting down the days until they finally get to say, "I do" and begin the next chapter of their lives together. They are beyond grateful for all that God has blessed them with, from the love they share to the countless memories they’ve created. As they look ahead, they’re filled with excitement and anticipation for all that God has in store for their future. They can’t wait to share their special day with the people they love most, celebrating the journey they’ve walked so far and the many more steps they’ll take together as husband and wife.
