Kelsey and Connor met at the very beginning of the school year- in 2016, in a dorm room at SUNY Oswego. Kelsey was going into her sophomore year, and Connor was a senior. When Connor saw Kelsey, he thought she was cute and tried to give her some of his sour patch kids, but she respectfully declined. Little did she know, this was Connor’s way of flirting -- he doesn’t share his favorite candy with just anyone! Kelsey thought Connor was handsome and especially liked his beard. The following week, they went down to the shores of the mighty Lake Ontario to gaze at the stars. Connor thought he was being sly by downloading a constellation app to help Kelsey make sense of the night sky, which led to an exchange of phone numbers. After a few days of texting, the two ventured out for a night of fun. The rest, as they say, is history.

Fast forward exactly three years later from the sour patch kid candy exchange, and Kelsey and Connor were still happily together, renting a cute townhouse with their even cuter kitten, Mr. Bug. For their big anniversary, they trekked out to Niagara Falls to see, well, some water falling over a large cliff. After failing at this quest, due to numerous bridge closures, they diverted their course and arrived at Whirlpool State Park. Amidst Kelsey’s confusion (“Why don’t we just head back home?”), Connor accidentally made the reason for their trip pretty clear, noisily going in the trunk of his car to “go get something.” As Kelsey gazed out at the water, Connor got down on one knee, and delivered the perfect proposal… sort of. He opened the box upside down and couldn’t even manage to say one word. Once he got a strong look of disapproval from Kelsey’s face, he reopened the box, and finally, asked if she would marry him! To which she happily said yes, of course. After taking many pictures, they went to a place where many reasonable adults probably celebrate marriage proposals, the Rainforest Cafe. Kelsey and Connor can’t wait to start the next chapter of their lives, and they are so excited to be surrounded by their favorite people on their wedding day.
