As high school sweethearts, we first met through our common love of math, and from there, our relationship blossomed. We started as friends competing on the math team at Providence, and started dating after knowing each other for almost a year.

On December 13, 2019, Josie went to work not expecting anything more than an evening downtown in Chicago with Connor and her family. Meanwhile, Connor was planning something a little more special for her. After work, they went to the Christkindlmarket, where he suggested ice skating in Millennium Park's ice rink. Once there, they skated for awhile and he finally popped the question at center ice when they were clearing everyone else off for them! Connor had it all set up so our family and friends were present to see the beautiful proposal with a photographer waiting to capture the moment!!
