This is a beautiful overlook that has recently become a staple of Page. Some say this is the very beginning of the Grand Canyon, and certainly the view doesn't disappoint! Please be aware that it is a bit of a hike uphill, and is about a mile and a half round trip. I would be sure to bring water, wear your sunscreen and bring a camera! (The city of Page charges $10 per car to enter the parking lot)
If you are into history, want to enjoy a casual or intense hike, or just want a scenic drive, Lees Ferry should make it onto your list of places to check out while you're in town. It is located about 45 minutes from the city of Page. If you go, stop at Navajo Bridge and you may be able to catch a glimpse of an endangered California Condor (they like to hangout underneath the bridges).
Highly recommend going to see the dam and walking across the Glen Canyon Bridge. You'll be able to see views of Lake Powell as well as the Colorado River down below. Inside the Carl Hayden Visitor's Center is a little display of information about the dam, but you can also book yourself an in-depth tour inside the dam. Did you know First Ladybird Johnson insisted on having Bermuda grass planted down below? Did you know that the energy farmed from the dam supplies electricity to over 14 southwestern cities? Learn all this and more all for the low price of $5. (Be sure to schedule your tour ahead of time, they book up quick!)
You're in Page, so obviously you have to take a dip at Lake Powell! There are two entrances near Page; Wahweap and Lone Rock. Lone Rock is a sandy beach, so please be wary with your rental vehicle on the deep sand. Wahweap is the more populated entrance because of the marina and resort. Both are beautiful! (You will need a Parks Pass to enter both entrances, $35 for 7 days, $85 for the year)
This is a good hike to do in the spring. Not only will you see the maidenhead ferns all in bloom, but you'll be able to see countless Northern Arizona flowers in bloom this April as well. This hike is specified as a moderate skilled hike, meaning, if you're not good with stairs, I'd pick another hike.
Coolest hike in Page when on a time crunch. Also pretty fun to go waste some time out here too. If you walk behind the rock formations and follow the power lines, you can have your own private view of Glen Canyon.
