Flight
NYC has three airports that are all very accessible via car, Uber/taxi and public transport. Travel times will vary depending on traffic but generally speaking, driving to downtown Manhattan will take ~25 minutes from LaGuardia (LGA), ~45 minutes from John F. Kennedy (JFK) and ~30 minutes from Newark (EWR).
Train
If traveling from the North East, NYC is very accessible by train. From Westchester, upstate New York and Connecticut, we recommend taking the Metro North to Grand Central Station, which is ~15 minutes from The Bowery Hotel via taxi or subway. Alternatively, Amtrak, Long Island Railroad and NJ Transit all run through Penn Station, which is also ~15 minutes from The Bowery Hotel.
Travel Note
Airports - Uber & Lyft recommended Friday - Uber, Lyft & Yellow Taxi are readily available. To avoid rush hour traffic, the subway is a quick & convenient way to get around. Rule of Thirds is a 5 minute walk from the G train (Nassau Avenue stop) and a 12 minute walk from the L train (Bedford Avenue stop). Saturday - Uber, Lyft & Yellow Taxi are readily available. The Bowery is also walkable from a number of subway stations including the 4/5/6 (Bleeker Street or Astor Place), F (2nd Avenue), N/Q/R (8th Street) and B/D/F/M (Broadway Lafayette).
