Despite us both playing hockey, we had never met. We met at an off roadring event called Dog Party. Aubrey was invited by a co-worker, who is also Connor's cousin. Hockey wasn't brought up until Nate noticed his flag was broken. Aubrey, being who she is and always having a million things in her car or backpack, piped up and said she had some hockey tape with her. They got to talking hockey and the rinks they have played at, Connor just happened to only play at the one rink Aubrey had never played at. One might say the rest is history, however they hadn't seen each other again for a month or so. Aubrey was invited to a skate at Cedar Rock and reached out to Nate to see if his cousin would also be playing, Nate texted Connor, Connor said no and Nate left it at that. Connor had to put forth a little effort and get more details from Nate and then get himself into that Friday skate. After that skate, the rest is definitely history.
