Balboa Island
Balboa Island is one of our favorite spots - it’s a fun, one-of-a-kind place that’s perfect for walking, biking, and soaking up the coastal vibe. There are tons of cute boutiques to explore, and the whole place has a relaxed, small-town charm. We definitely recommend taking the iconic Balboa Island Ferry - it only takes about five minutes and it’s such a fun experience. One of our favorite things to do is ride our bikes onto the ferry, cruise around, and grab a bite at Snipe Island Restaurant.
Mission San Juan Capistrano
Mission San Juan Capistrano is a beautifully preserved Spanish landmark, featuring historic architecture, vibrant gardens, and a museum. It's a 30-minute drive from Newport Beach. While you're in the area, Heritage Barbecue is a great spot for lunch or dinner.
Crystal Cove State Park
Crystal Cove State Park is a coastal gem with sandy beaches, scenic hiking trails, tide pools, and historic beach cottages.
