Good Harbor Beach in Gloucester and Devereux Beach in Marblehead are some of our favorite spots! You can also rent stand up paddleboards at Riverhead Beach in Marblehead (right across from Devereux). More details can be found at the link included below!
Salem is filled with history as one of New England's first port cities and the home of the infamous Salem Witch Trials. The Peabody Essex Museum is a great first stop, and visitors may also enjoy touring the House of the Seven Gables or the Salem Maritime National Historic Site. For a great historical overview and some exercise, consider joining the History & Hauntings Walking Tour offered by Witch City Walking Tours (linked below). Request our friend Henry if you want the best tour guide in town!
For seafood, we recommend Turner's, Sea Level, or Finz on Pickering Wharf. Some of our other favorites are Mercy Tavern, Adriatic, and Barrio. Stop by All Soul's Lounge or the Olde Main Street Pub for a nightcap!
East Regiment Beer Co., Notch Brewing, and Couch Dog are some great local breweries, all within walking distance of downtown Salem. P.S. Notch will host their annual Oktoberfest celebration on Sunday, September 14! Stop by for some Bavarian food, music, and beer (you may catch the groom there getting a pre-ceremony pint). Prost!
