Question

Is there transportation provided to-and-from the hotel to reception?

Answer

Yes! The shuttle bus will run to-and-from the Marriott Lexington City Center Hotel to The Carrick House. The shuttle bus will DEPART from the Marriott Lexington City Center Hotel promptly at 5:10pm. If you miss this shuttle, it will return for another departure from the hotel promptly at 5:30pm. Please be ready downstairs for the shuttle's arrival prior to either 5:10pm or 5:30pm. A member of our coordinator's team will be present to direct guests to the bus. Towards the end of the evening, the shuttle will return to The Carrick House to begin transporting guests back to the Marriott Lexington City Center Hotel. If you are staying at the Hilton Lexington Hotel, you will need to walk to the Marriott to get on the shuttle. It is only 2 blocks away. See "Events" tab for additional timeline details for the day.

What is the dress code?

Answer

Our dress code is formal. We ask that ladies wear a floor-length dress, cocktail dress that falls below the knee, or pantsuit. Men can wear a dark suit and tie or a tuxedo.

What time does the shuttle bus run?

The shuttle bus will arrive at the Marriott Lexington City Center Hotel around 5pm and will depart promptly at 5:10pm. If you miss this shuttle, it will return for another departure at 5:30pm. Towards the end of the evening, the shuttle bus will transport guests from the reception back to the Marriott Lexington City Center Hotel.

Yes, there are large parking lots at both sites for free parking.

What time do I need to be at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony begins promptly at 2:30pm, so we ask that guests arrive at 2:15pm to ensure you get parked and seated before the ceremony begins.

Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?

Answer

You are absolutely allowed to take photos, and we encourage you to share them with us! We just ask that you be respectful and discrete when taking pictures (especially at the ceremony) so that our professional photographers can capture the best moments.

Are kids invited?

Answer

To give all our guests the opportunity to celebrate without having to worry about little eyes and ears, the events will be adult-only. Your invitation will be made out to “[Your Name(s) and Child Name(s)]” if your children have been invited.

Due to limited capacity, we cannot accommodate additional guests, only those listed on your formal invitation. Your invitation will be made out to "[Your Name and Guest]" if a plus one has been given to you.
