Justine and Connor met briefly one morning while Justine was going into accept an internship offer at Grace Community Church. Justine, along with her parents, ran into Connor at the front of the auditorium. Connor escorted them to the room where Justine's interview was. After this, Justine and Connor didn't see each other for a while, but they did come across each others online dating profiles. Though she is embarrassed to say, Justine liked Connor's dating profile by accident, not realizing he was an Outreach pastor at the church she was about to intern at- yikes! Connor did not like her dating profile back at the time because he felt it would be "inappropriate" to date the intern. Fast forward and Justine accepts the internship offer and officially moves to Sarasota. While an intern, Justine and Connor had some opportunities to serve together, and this is where their interest in each other started to blossom. (Side note, Justine and Connor act like they never encountered each others' dating profiles because they didn't want to make things awkward.) The first event that brought them together was a school graduation that took place at the church. Justine and Connor were both scheduled to help at this event. It was then where they began to notice each other. They event flirted a bit while serving! The next event that brought them together was a volunteer night at the church, which was monumental for their relationship. Connor requested that worship intern, Justine, get some worship leading experience. Justine led worship for this event and afterwards, Justine and Connor talked for 3 hours in the auditorium. They talked about their lives, dreams, hopes, and testimonies! Those 3 hours flew by, and they both knew something special was forming. Once Justine officially accepted a job at the church, Connor admitted his interest in her and they went on a first date! The rest is history.
