Jessica Gasperi

Maid of Honor

Jessica and I met back in middle school. Unfortunately, not too long after we became friends, she moved to Texas. Although the distance is a bummer, our friendship has continued to thrive long distance for almost 15 years now! We have countless memories from trips to California, her visit to Wisconsin in 2021, and my visit to Texas in 2017. Sometime in 2021, we discovered how to send each other audio messages and have not stopped since. It isn't uncommon for us to keep up with one another by sending back and forth multiple, multi-minute audio messages, and it also isn't uncommon for us to completely forget what the other person said in their 10-minute dialogue, ha! Jessica has been a great friend to me over the years, and I am so excited for her to stand by my side as my maid of honor.

Haleigh Martin

Bridesmaid

Haleigh and I met my 10th-grade year of high school through cross country. Although we originally bonded over our love (and hatred) for running, we quickly became close friends outside of the sport as well. Our high school years were filled with a lot of late nights and early mornings. One of my favorite memories with Haleigh is when she and I, and a couple of our teammates, ran from our high school to Haleigh's house. The run was probably 6 or 7 miles, and it was the dead of summer in Florida. I have no idea how we did it! However, when we got to Haleigh's, we were rewarded with a cold swimming pool and delicious watermelon. More recent memories include Haleigh flying to Wisconsin so we could see a Taylor Swift concert together and a trip where I flew to Atlanta, where we spent our time at a Braves baseball game and a picnic in Piedmont Park. Our friendship is truly so special to me.

Carly Rudd

Bridesmaid

Although Carly and I can't remember exactly when we met, we give credit to our high school AVID class. What I do remember is that when we met, we became fast friends. I knew instantly that Carly is someone who I wanted to be a part of my life because of how kindhearted she is. I remember thinking how easy it was to chat with her and how amazing it was that we clicked so quickly. Since that first class together, we have experienced a lot of adventures together. Most notably, a Luke Bryan concert, a cruise to the Bahamas, her trip last year to Wisconsin, her first Red Sox baseball game, and a special run in in Madrid, Spain! We love to bond over our cats, favorite books, and spooky Halloween classics. I'm so grateful that our friendship has lasted so long, and through my multiple moves to Georgia, California, and Wisconsin. I am excited for her to be part of our special day!

Sarah Broga

Bridesmaid

Sarah and I met at a City Church young adult service sometime in late 2022. We were both in new seasons of life, me with my fresh move to Wisconsin and her adjusting to life post-college. We had both been praying that God would connect us with Christian friends, and gosh, how the Lord provided! We were also both single and bonded over our desire and prayers to find Godly men (which, by the way, we are now both engaged to great men of Christ, TYJ)! Since that first encounter, Sarah and I have become great friends. In fact, only a few weeks after meeting her, I learned that she would soon be moving into my apartment complex. Since her move, she and I have gone back and forth to each other's places a countless amount of times. I am so thankful to have a friend like Sarah in my life, as she encourages me in my walk in Christ. Our friendship is truly an answered prayer from up above!

Mikayla Sexton

Bridesmaid

Mikayla is another good friend I made through City Church. She has a heart for the Lord and is so bold in her faith walk. She and I bonded once I learned that she had moved from Texas to Wisconsin. I knew exactly how much courage it takes for a person to leave their home and family and move across the country to start over for work. My favorite thing about Mikayla is how adventurous she is. She has introduced me to SO many new foods (Korean BBQ, yum!) and is always recommending new places for us to visit and new activities we just have to try out. You would think she was a Madison, Wisconsin native! She is also so good at building community. In her short time in Wisconsin so far, she has helped create an awesome girls group, where we get together, do some praise and worship, pray, and connect. Most recently, she hosted a Galentine's night and a taco party! I'm so thankful God placed her in Madison, and I'm so excited for her to be a part of the wedding!
