Located in the heart of the city, Detroit's Saturday Market is a bustling marketplace full of fresh produce, meats, flowers, baked goods and local arts. To give you an idea of the size, there are over 225 vendors! The market is open from 6am to 4pm and parking is free!
The University of Michigan Matthaei Botanical Gardens has a gorgeous greenhouse conservatory, botanical gardens, a small garden shop, and natural areas with trails. Admission is free for everyone, with a small parking fee of $1.80 per hour.
Coleman's Corn Maze has three professionally designed mazes which spread over 5 miles. They have donuts and cider, hayrides and farm animals. JD and I had a blast here last fall. Hours: Friday 6:00pm-10pm Saturday: 10am-10pm Sunday: Noon-9pm

Gallup Park is a 69-acre park and is Ann Arbor’s most popular recreation area. It is located along the Huron River with scenic walkways that traverse small islands. The park contains two playgrounds, a canoe livery, picnic areas, open field for play, and over three miles of asphalt trails that are popular for biking, rollerblading, walking and running.
