Connie and Claudia have been best friends since high school. From sporting awkward side bangs and binging Laguna beach on MTV to making better fashion choices but still binging trashy reality tv shows, Connie and Claudia have grown up together though every stage of life. Claudia even visited Connie at every rotation site during her externship year of optometry school including Arizona, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles.
Kimmy Uy

Connie and Kimmy both went to UCLA together but didn’t get close until they did their residency together in NYC. After residency, they moved in together and both got a job at the same practice! Since then, they (quite literally) morphed into one person spending most days side by side from working together during the week, to hanging out on the weekends, and everything in between. They never got sick of each other (right Kimmy?) and still remain close now even 3000 miles apart.
Isabel Lui
Bridesmaid
Connie and Isabel became close during their first year of UCLA. Who knew that from the dingy bathroom of a fraternity house during rush week would bloom such a beautiful friendship - they bonded over miserably failing chemistry class. They decided to be study buddies after that and the rest is history! Isabel’s mom is also Teddy and Daisy’s godmother - without her, Connie would have never rescued them from the streets!
Patty Yang

Connie and Patty attended optometry school together. They went to lunch one day during the first week of school when Patty mentioned something about Kaskade - they instantly bonded (did somebody say PLUR?). Connie and Patty spent many hours of many days during school studying at various cafes, coffee shops, and the front seats of their cars in the school parking lot. They also lived together during their Arizona rotation of externship year where they hiked, discovered $3 chilled tequila shots (thank you Tucson), and lounged by their community pool after clinic.
Elaine Roe

Connie and Elaine also attended optometry school together. They then moved to NYC together for their respective residencies (ocular disease for Connie and vision therapy for Elaine). They lived together that year in Elaine’s sister's (Dianne) 1 bedroom apartment in Brooklyn where Connie got inducted into their "flip fam". At the time, they thought they would only stay in NYC for 1 year so they did the most to take advantage of the city life including waking up at dawn to watch the Macy’s thanksgiving parade in person.
Jonathan Imson
Best Man
Corbin and Jonathan have become brothers for life through Zeta Phi Rho. That’s it – there’s no going back now that they’ve joined. They both understand that even if they wanted to end the friendship it would be impossible. Post college they got to spend more time together in San Francisco and through incredibly blurry nights their friendship blossomed into the wonderfully beautiful friendship it is today. That’s facts.
Jerry Mao
Best Man
Corbin and Jerry are brothers for life through fraternity – a never ending bond that connects individuals after they pledge themselves to the letters (Zeta Phi Rho). They’ve tried to escape each other in the past (Jerry moving to LA and Corbin to SF) but even distance could not break the blood pact. Corbin followed in Jerry’s footsteps and moved to NY for a brief stint before the pandemic and they were able to spend a wonderful year in the city hanging out and growing individually but also together.
Kevin Jeung

Corbin and Kevin are brothers for life through a fraternity called Zeta Phi Rho. Although a year apart, they quickly became friends after college once Corbin moved to San Francisco. While in the bay they strengthened their friendship through their mutual love of the outdoors and climbing. One thing that Kevin will always have that Corbin admires is his smile – that damn smile.
Marc Fujikawa

Corbin and Marc are brothers for life because they dedicated their whole beings to the letters of Zeta Phi Rho. They never interacted much in college but became fast friends through their love of whisky and blacking out on the weekends (in moderation). You could say Marc, Kevin, and Corbin were the boys. Their time together in the bay cemented their connection and they will always be Warriors Faithful (authentic fans).
James DeCastro

Corbin and James go back ages. In High School they were both part of a Filipino culture group called Bayanihan and after the fact they gamed almost every day (Corbin carried). While other friends came and went, their friendship stayed strong through distance and time. Now that Corbin is back in San Diego, their mutual love of golf allows them to spend more time together and work on a common goal – to break 120.
