Although they grew up just 15 miles apart, Conner and Sydney’s paths didn’t cross until the winter of 2023. What started as a chance meeting quickly turned into something special, and they instantly knew they had found someone worth holding onto. At the time, Sydney was home for only a few weeks during her senior year of college, so the two spent nearly every day together before she returned to school. Their relationship immediately began with five months of long distance while both finished their final semesters of college. While the distance wasn’t always easy, it made every visit even more meaningful and strengthened the foundation they were building together. With their faith, values, and families at the center of their relationship, Conner and Sydney quickly fell in love. Over the past two years, they have created countless memories together, from trips to Florida and California to cheering on their favorite teams at events like the Ole Miss vs. Georgia playoff game, College GameDay’s Top 10 matchup between Texas Tech and BYU, Dallas Stars games, and many more. When they’re not traveling or attending sporting events, you’ll likely find them enjoying Mexican food, spending time with family and friends, going on walks or playing golf together. Their relationship has already weathered many of life’s seasons—celebrating new jobs, moving homes, welcoming new family members, navigating long distance, and grieving the loss of loved ones. Through every chapter, they have remained each other’s biggest supporters, facing life’s joys and challenges hand in hand. In March, Conner asked Sydney to marry him during a beautiful and intimate proposal at Arbor Hills Nature Preserve in Plano, Texas. The day became even more special when they celebrated with a surprise engagement party surrounded by their closest family and friends. It was a perfect day they will never forget. Now, the future Griffiths are counting down the days until they officially become one on May 21st. They cannot wait to celebrate this exciting new chapter with all of you!
