A Love at First Sight

One fateful night, freshman year of college, two students would attend the same cold, February worship night. Unbeknownst to them, this would be love at first sight and purely God's timing. HER STORY: I had regularly attended the Baptist Collegiate Ministry (BCM) with a friend. This particular night there was an after-worship activity, that I was dead set on attending. Though my friend couldn't attend, so I dropped her off at her dorm and made way to Third Baptist Church of Murfreesboro; this is where our night games were held that night and my first time attending a BCM event alone. As anxious as I was, I held on to hope that I could overcome my fears and make friends. I succeeded far more than I intended when after a break a tall, red-headed man complimented my shirt. We met again after I became separated from my group, when I was left alone, in a dark hallway, without a working flashlight. He guided our way back to main game area, where I would *definitely* part momentarily when I found where we were supposed to be in a game of Sardines. Once the game ended, we would chat more at the church. Conner returned to the BCM the next week (and for the rest of our time at MTSU). After getting a source of contact, I came to realize I liked him more than a friend. My new friends at Taylor's Chapel would also help come to this realization and ever since then it was meant to be. HIS STORY: I had been attending Belle Aire Baptist Church in Murfreesboro at the time. The college pastor there was on campus one Thursday afternoon and invited me to go to the BCM. I had heard about it through different people, including some friends, and seen their signs out on campus. I had been wanting to go but didn't have the time to go my first semester, and now that I had time, I decided to go after the college pastor and others who were with him convinced me to go. I went and had a great time and ended up going to the after vertical event. The power had been turned off in the church so many of us stepped outside to cool off in the rain. While I was out there, I see Rabeth, a very beautiful woman, standing alone seemingly very anxious. I decided to go over and talk to her since I also had no friends there at the time, not realizing at the same time I was assumed to be a college pastor. I noticed her shirt which read "Jesus Loves You", which I complemented, and she became a salesperson for a minute about the brand. We went back inside and played another game, where we run into each other again and we walk together throughout the church, we stumbled upon the basement of the church where a future friend says "there's definitely nothing in here" we both go into the room and find where everyone is hiding. The next week we talk for a long time while waiting on her friend and after we parted, I get a message from her out of nowhere, where we ended up getting to know each other better and ended up becoming great friends. Things fell into place perfectly and God led us to become a couple, and has guided us through our relationship, to and through our engagement and has led us to getting married.
