Conner and I met through Bumble, the dating app. Our first date was March 30, 2017, but as Conner likes to remind me, it could have been one day earlier. Conner and I were supposed to meet for our first date to go bowling and get to know each other, but my friends were moving out of town and it was the only time I could see them. Thank goodness Conner agreed to see me again after ditching him last minute! We went to Bowlounge the next night and spent the whole evening talking, so we didn't even get to bowl. After our first date, we started spending just about every weekend together. We would cook dinner, walk to the Old Monk, introduce each other to friends, and eat Pokey O's. We love to travel and have been to London, Scotland, Disney World, Cozumel and Maui. Conner proposed on our most recent trip to Maui! We were getting ready to go to the beach and Conner was sitting on the balcony. When I walked out to the balcony, he got down on one knee and proposed with the ring my dad gave my mom. It was the perfect moment and I couldn't have asked for anything more! I am so lucky to have found someone willing to put up with my shenanigans. He balances my high stress, constant planning with his low key, go with the flow attitude. We are the perfect match.
The story of Maggie and I should have actually started a day earlier than it did. Maggie unfortunately had to reschedule our first date for one night later than originally planned. I was smart enough to wait one more day and go on a date that would change my life. We went to Bowlounge for a night of what I thought would be full of bowling, however that never ended up happening. We wound up being distracted by conversation and enjoying each other’s company so much that by the time the night was over we never bowled a game. Maggie makes me immeasurably happy, I consider myself extremely lucky to have found someone like her. She is always there for me, even if it means taking me to get stitches at midnight. We have gone on some amazing adventures already and I look forward to a lifetime full of memories to come.
