I met Graylon during my first day as a full-time employee at Georgia-Pacific during the summer of 2015. We became fast acquaintances, but not much beyond that for the first few months. Eventually, a friendship blossomed, which very quickly turned into a lot of flirtation at work and an exchange of phone numbers. One day in October 2016, we matched on Bumble and both quickly realized that this could be something more than just a work crush. Since we still worked closely together, our relationship stayed under wraps for a little over two years until we decided we couldn't see a future without each other. After a very anticlimactic day of telling our supervisors and HR that we were together (they were all extremely supportive!), a huge weight was lifted and our relationship truly took off from there. Graylon and I had been talking about marriage for a while, and ultimately came to the decision to move in together in March of 2020 after my parents and I decided to sell my Midtown condo, and not a moment too soon. The pandemic hit just a few short weeks after I moved in, and it was a true test of our relationship. Safe to say, we passed that test and on September 19, 2020 at the most beautiful bed and breakfast in Lake Toxaway, NC, my best friend got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife. Our relationship has been full of Georgia Tech football games, being the ultimate wedding guests, traveling the world with some of our favorite people, and loving on our two German shepherds, Cash and June. We've grown so much over the past five years together, and we are so excited to see what marriage holds for us. We can't wait to celebrate our love with you all in October!
