Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Kindly RSVP by October 31st by mailing the reply card included with your invitation or through the RSVP section on our wedding website.

Question

What do you mean by semi-formal?

Answer

We’re thrilled to share our special day with you on November 22nd! Our semi-formal dress code calls for elegant yet approachable attire, perfect for a late fall celebration. For women, consider a cocktail dress, a stylish jumpsuit, or a dressy skirt paired with a sophisticated top. For men, a suit or a blazer with dress pants and an optional tie works wonderfully—feel free to skip the tie for a polished, open-collar look. Embrace your personal style with colors, patterns, or accessories, but please steer clear of overly casual items like jeans, sneakers, or t-shirts. We can’t wait to see you looking fabulous as we celebrate together!

Question

I'm not Catholic. What can I expect at your Nuptial Mass?

Answer

We’re so glad you’ll be joining us for our Nuptial Mass, a sacred Catholic ceremony that unites us in marriage before God. If you’re not familiar with the Catholic Mass, here’s a brief guide to help you feel at ease. The Nuptial Mass is a beautiful, structured liturgy that includes prayers, readings from Scripture, a homily (a short reflection by the priest), and the exchange of our marriage vows. You’ll also experience the Eucharist, where Catholics receive Communion, a sacred moment where we receive the body of Christ. As a non-Catholic, you’re welcome to remain seated during this part or come forward with arms crossed over your chest to receive a blessing from the priest. The service typically lasts about an hour and includes moments of song, prayer, and quiet reflection. You’re invited to participate as you feel comfortable—whether by joining in hymns, following along with the readings, or simply observing. We’ll provide a program to guide you through the order of the Mass. To maintain the sacred atmosphere and ensure everyone can fully experience the moment, we kindly ask that you refrain from taking photos or videos during the ceremony. Our professional photographer will capture the day, and we’ll share those memories with you afterward. Above all, the Nuptial Mass is a joyful celebration of love, faith, and community. We’re honored to share this moment with you and encourage you to approach it with an open heart. If you have any questions before or during the ceremony, don’t hesitate to ask a member of our wedding party. Thank you for being part of our special day!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes and yes! Both St. John Cantius Church and Chevy Chase Country Club have ample parking.
