We're Getting Married!

It all began at Harvard's infamous Hay Party on November 9, 2019 – where Maddie's overalls caught the eye of Austin, sporting his finest No Shave November mustache. Their connection was instant and they began making every excuse to hangout with each other. One month later to the day, they made it official. They weathered the unexpected turns of 2020's global pandemic, during which Austin became an honorary member of the Conklin family for four memorable months. They celebrated their Harvard graduations together, dated long-distance for a year, and finally reunited in New York City in June 2022, where they moved into their first apartment. Just when they thought life couldn't get sweeter, a spontaneous decision in August led them to adopt Winnie, a four-month-old Golden Retriever. Her name pays homage to their college home, Winthrop House, where their story first began. On November 22, 2023, Austin orchestrated the perfect proposal at Anyela's Vineyard in Skaneateles, NY. Following the engagement, they returned home to find their closest friends and family waiting to celebrate with them. Now settled in their dream apartment in Hoboken, Maddie and Austin are counting down the days until September 20, 2025, when they'll begin their best chapter yet.
