Guests must be vaccinated to attend the wedding, however, no vaccine card checks will be in effect. Guests must wear a mask while indoors at the Synagogue (venue policy), including during the ceremony. Guests must wear a mask when interacting with staff at the reception (as is reasonably possible). We request that guests take a rapid test within 48 hours of the event (at-home tests or free walk-in).
Yes - there are two free walk-in sites in downtown Evanston: 830 Davis St, Evanston, IL 60201 1630 Maple Ave, Evanston, IL, 60201 We also recommend the following site in Chicago: 1828 W Lawrence Ave, Chicago, IL 60640 For all sites, hours are typically 9am-5pm, but may vary.
The ceremony, reception, and hotel locations are all within a few blocks of each other and close to public transportation. On the day of the wedding, transportation will be provided from the Hilton to the ceremony (leaving at 5:30pm) and from the ceremony to the reception. You are welcome to take the shuttle even if you are not staying at the Hilton. Uber/Lyft or taxis are also readily available.
Yes, there is free parking across the street from both venues.
The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire.
May in Chicago is tricky, sometimes it is cold and rainy and other times it is very warm. We recommend bringing layers, including a jacket and maybe an umbrella.
