Rachel and Weston's first date was a walk with Maybelle at Pitt Street Bridge that quickly turned into hours of talking at Shelter Bar and Grill. Not long after, the world shut down for COVID, and they got to know each other the old-fashioned way through long walks, beach days, and time with close friends and their dog. One night, after a few drinks, Rachel accidentally told Weston she loved him and proceeded to play it off by sipping her seltzer (or so she thought), nearly drinking from an unlit candle. Thankfully, the feeling was mutual. Since then, they have built a life full of laughter, golden retrievers, and love. Weston is the calm to Rachel’s chaos, and she is the spark that keeps things full of warmth and fun. Together, they have weathered life’s highs and lows with grace, humor, and a strong sense of partnership. On December 1, 2024, Weston proposed while they were decorating their Christmas tree in the home they created together. That tree is filled with ornaments from every milestone and memory they have shared. Now, they are so excited to celebrate their next chapter surrounded by the people they love most.
