The story began in September 2013, the first day of term for two first-year students at The University of Sheffield, who were assigned rooms next to each other in the same apartment. Fast forward through four years of friendship, living together with our friends, making wonderful memories, and getting their degrees; it was time for their next steps. Paul was moving to Coventry to start his Graduate Programme, whilst Rebecca stayed on at the University of Sheffield to complete further study. In October 2017, Paul had come up to Sheffield to visit his old housemates. We all celebrated with a night out at the Students Union (Pop Tarts - if you know, you know), during which Paul and Rebecca first kissed - who made the first move however, well that is still undecided! In September 2018, after a year of long-distance, Rebecca moved in with Paul into their first place as a couple, in Fareham. In September 2019, Paul moved to France for 6 months; and even though this was more long-distance, it was a wonderful time for both of them. Rebecca often flew out to visit Paul, and they spent a lot of time exploring France, Switzerland, and most importantly - skiing! In 2020, Paul moved back to Fareham with Rebecca. They finally made the move back up north, purchasing their first home in March 2024. Then in April 2024, Rebecca and Paul were away with the Condo family to celebrate Rebecca's 30th Birthday. But there was one more surprise waiting. Paul took Rebecca on a surprise walk up to Aber Falls, a beautiful waterfall in North Wales. Storm Kathleen also decided to show up, but if anything this made the walk all the more fun; laughing all the way up and Rebecca pulling out a nice Poncho. On reaching the waterfall, Paul finally got down on one knee and popped the question - of course it was a yes! In May 2025, their story continues and they look forward to you all being a part of it!
