Thank you so much for making the trip to be with us on our wedding day! We know it takes time and effort to travel, and we’re so thankful that you are going out of your way to celebrate with us. Your presence will make our day even more memorable. Beaufort is the state's second oldest city, and is located in the Lowcountry. The spanish mossed draped oaks, salt marshes, and charming downtown makes this place a true 'hidden gem' (although many spots in the area can be seen in "Forrest Gump", as Beaufort served as its primary filming location). If you want to venture out further, Savannah, Georgia and Charleston, South Carolina are both close enough for day trips. Beaufort

Downtown Beaufort is the perfect place to spend a morning, afternoon, or evening. Shop the local boutiques, sit near the waterfront, visit the playground, eat, drink, and enjoy!

Hearth Wood Fired Pizza

Hearth Pizza is our go-to spot in Downtown Beaufort. We recommend starting with some Carolina Gold chicken wings, and following it up with a Prosciutto and Arugula Pizza.

Hunting Island

Drive past the turn for Dataw Island, and you'll reach the state park of Hunting Island. There is a nature center, fishing pier, lighthouse, and a vast stretch of beach to enjoy. Recreate one of our favorite date nights and take a Hearth Pizza to-go for a sunset beach picnic.

Lowcountry Cider Co. & Superior Coffee Sea Island

Their location just outside of Dataw Island is usually our first stop on our road trips back to Sarasota. Great place for specialty coffee and pastries.

Shellring Ale Works

1111 11th Street, Port Royal, SC 29935

A great place for local beer, and perfectly situated on the salt marshes.

Fishcamp on 11th Street

1699 11th Street, Port Royal, SC 29935

Located right next to Shellring Brewery, Fishcamp is where we had dinner with Hale's parents the first time we visited them together in South Carolina.
