Our story is definitely extraordinary. Seeing her across from me reading out interview questions was not what I envisioned meeting the love of my life would be like. I got to work with her after a few months from the first day I met her. She seemed very intimidating at first. As time went on, I started noticing the kindness, passion and drive she has for everything that she does and sets her mind too. But what really caught my attention was her faith in God and the trust she holds to this day that everything that happens is meant to happen for a reason. Neither of us had any expectations from one another, we just let God take the wheel and I’m grateful that we did because I never thought I could be so blessed with the opportunity to love someone so kind, ambitious, compassionate, intuitive, and by far frank. She started as my best friend and became the love of my life. I’m honored with this blessing from God... the chance to love her eternally.
After weeks of contemplating about going to San Francisco due to the bad weather that was going to occur the weekend we wanted to go, we finally booked a hotel on a Wednesday and took off on Friday. I had never been there before but I was expecting great things due to all the hype Christine was boasting about weeks before. I thought that it may not be a bad idea to pop the question when we get there. So, I secretly stashed the ring in the car before we left, mind you I had not planned on proposing there due to the weather, I decided to take it anyways just in case there was a perfect moment. We took off early in the morning hoping to get there in the afternoon. That way we could at least check something out. The drive there was longer than expected, but so worth it because of the beautiful scenery we drove through. Once we were an hour away from our hotel it started raining which was not a surprise so we ended up getting something to eat near the hotel and rest so we could get an early start the following day. May 19th of 2019, Sunday morning, We visited and went to a lot of really nice places. We walked around all day and took a ton of pictures. Finally, we got tired and decided to call it a day, but we both had to use the restroom really bad and decided to go over to a park by East Beach to look for a restroom. We had no idea how beautiful the view was from there so we decided to stay a while longer. The view and sunset was really amazing standing right next to the water with the view of Golden Gate Bridge and the Alcatraz. It didn’t even rain and we found free parking spot with no problem! I waited and waited then the perfect moment came... He was on his knees and popped the question, I was super surprised and instead of saying yes... I said no without even realizing what I was saying. I was just too overwhelmed and was drenched in my own tears. I just couldn’t believe it because it seemed like the whole day was perfectly planned for us.
