Mitchell and I first met at a pig show in Louisville, KY. Mitchell was head over heels from the very beginning. Come to find out, we had sat a few seats away from each other all semester at Purdue. He was asking one of my friends about me and I told him if he really wanted to talk to me, he could ask for my number in person. We started talking and hanging out and it didn't take long until I was head over heels too. Three and a half years later and here we are, still going to pig shows together, completely in love!
One of my favorites places is the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee. In fact, Mitchell and I's first spring break together I drug him on a 12 mile hike up the mountain in the snow. Mitchell knew he wanted to propose to me in those mountains and had been planning the proposal for 8 months! Over spring break, 2019, we spent all morning hike 7 miles to get to the top of the mountain. As always, I wanted as many pictures as possible. Once we got to a place called the drop off, our friends Cole and Courtney started taking pictures of us. In the middle of it, Mitchell turned to me and said "Hey, I love you" and got down on one knee! It was so romantic and I wouldn't have wanted to say YES to the man of my dreams anywhere else.
