Rolling hills, reconstructed cabins, and beautiful paved trails await you in beautiful Valley Forge National Park. Learn about the birth of our nation in their gorgeous visitor center, have a lovely picnic, or wander your way through the chapel grounds!
Philadelphia Zoo
America's First Zoo! This incredible institution is considered one of the best in the world and leads the way in many fields of research and species survival programs. It is easy to spend an entire day at this zoo (And our couple often has!).
Elmwood Park Zoo
Elmwood Park Zoo is a beautiful and historic zoo located right in Emma's hometown, and was also where she taught in the education department after college. Elmwood is a smaller alternative to the Philadelphia Zoo, and is a great way to spend 2-3 hours with the kiddos, featuring an awesome playground and tons of interactive activities, including bison and giraffe feedings. Make sure to say hi to Stella, Reggie, and Noah, the live mascots for the Temple Owls and the Philadelphia Eagles!
