Question

Can I bring my young children?

Answer

While we love your little ones, we’ve decided to keep our Saturday wedding celebration an adults-only event., except for our immediate nieces & nephews. This decision allows all of our guests (including parents!) to relax, let loose, and enjoy the evening with us. We hope this advance notice gives you the opportunity to make arrangements, and we truly appreciate your understanding. If you would like to hire childcare in Oaxaca, we are happy to work with our wedding planner to find a contact you can work with.

Question

What is the weather like in Oaxaca?

Answer

March is a beautiful time to visit Oaxaca! The weather is typically warm and pleasant, with daytime temperatures averaging around 75-85°F (24-29°C). Evenings tend to be cooler, so we recommend bringing a light jacket or wrap. Rain is rare during this time.

Question

What is the best way to travel to Oaxaca if my local airport does not offer a non stop flight?

Answer

If your local airport doesn't offer a non-stop flight to Oaxaca, you can easily fly to a major city in Mexico like Mexico City, Guadalajara, or Cancún, and then take a connecting flight to Oaxaca. Additionally, Los Angeles, Dallas, and Houston all offer non-stop flights to Oaxaca. Another option is to fly to San Diego, then take an Uber to the Cross Border Express (CBX), which connects you directly to the Tijuana Airport. It’s a safe and convenient route as you stay on the U.S. side and walk directly into the Tijuana Airport without entering the city itself. From there, you can catch a direct flight to Oaxaca.

Question

Is Oaxaca safe?

Answer

Yes! Oaxaca is generally considered a safe destination, especially in the city center and popular tourist areas where our wedding events will take place. Like any travel destination, it's always a good idea to stay aware of your surroundings, follow common travel safety tips, and use reputable transportation (Uber is available). If you stay in the city centre, you will be able to walk mostly everywhere. The city is known for its welcoming locals and vibrant culture, and we’re confident you’ll have a wonderful and safe experience while celebrating with us!
