Future Mr. & Mrs. sutton

It all started in the eighth grade when Lindale and Mineola played against each other in track, and Lillie met some of the girls from Mineola. Colton had theatre arts with one of the girls that had now met Lillie. She was looking at Lillie's musical.ly, and Colton was in awe. He didn't know that she would be his future wife. Colton had gotten Lillie's instagram from the fellow classmate, and he started to shoot his shot at Lillie. He got rejected for the first, but not the last, time. Time went on and Colton and Lillie would text here and there just touching base and asking how everything was going. They were always saying how they needed to hangout soon even though they were only 14 and couldn't drive. It continued like that for a while as they went their separate ways. For some reason, they would always come back to texting each other. Fast forward to 2021, they reconnected when Lillie invited Colton to come hang out at a get-together. Colton thought maybe his chances are better now that he had wheels and a job to pay for their date...wrong. He had been let down again, but it was always in a nice way as Lillie would always be. Now Colton had thought in his mind maybe God just didn't want this to happen, but God knew otherwise. It would only be in His timing. Now it is 2023, and it has been two years since they have seen or heard from one another. Colton decides, on a random July night, to text Lillie just to see how she has been. To Colton's disbelief she responds in less than two minutes saying, "it's so crazy I was just thinking about you the other day!!" They hit it off, and they began to text and call everyday. They always talked about having a "cowboy date" for Lillie to see what Colton's life is like and to pet all of the animals. A couple of days before the date, Colton reschedules because he gets cold feet and doesn't know if he should pursue this again due to the past times of rejection from Lillie. He prays and asks for direction and enlightenment on God's will. Peace comes upon Colton to just give it one more try. Now the date has happened, and it goes great. Colton drives Lillie back home and thinks to himself, "well I know it's just the first date, but I've wanted to kiss this girl since eighth grade. The worst that can happen is she rejects me, and, in that case, I can just add it with the others." So he kisses her and pulls away, and Lillie pulls him back in for another before Colton rides away... in a truck not a dang horse. Time goes by, and more dates happen. Now it is August, and Lillie is telling people that she is ready to date Colton. However, Colton has cold feet in determining if it's the right time yet or not. Colton prays and prays, and God answers giving him more peace than he has ever felt. On September 14th of 2023, Colton has flowers, goldfish laid out in a heart, and a card that says "I have a question for you." He then asks her to be his girlfriend, and she says yes as she smiles and laughs. Time goes by and they are doing great! They are going to church, and Colton leads Lillie to the Lord. She accepts God into her heart and gets saved by His saving grace. Now Colton feels like he needs to take a next step as he has heard Lillie tease him saying, "when are you gonna marry me". So Colton picks the date of April 13, 2024 to propose to Lillie, and, with the help of his mom, Lillie's mom, and other family, a photoshoot and engagement party are planned. Now, the day has come. Colton has a picture setup in the spillway area, and he is waiting for Lillie to come to the spot. He has a letter to read her which is basically this same story, but at the end it says, "I asked you to be my girlfriend, and you said yes. I thought there's nothing better than this, but, as my card said when I asked you then, now I have one final question.. will you marry me?" Yes yes yes!! was Lillie's answer, and now this is where the story begins...
