After going to high school together for four years, Colton and Julie finally got to know each other during their senior year biology class when Colton sat next to Julie on the first day. They must have had a lot to talk about, because the classroom never knew another moment of silence after that. One day, all of that talking led to Colton asking Julie to go to prom. They had such a good time at prom that they hung out again the next day, and essentially every day after that. Colton picked up Julie for their first date to get ice cream at Dairy Queen, and it was certainly not their last time getting blizzards as a couple. They officially started dating on the very last day of high school! Julie was then persuaded into attending many baseball games and thus began her collection of New York Yankees hats. Colton and Julie attended college together at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. College consisted of many study dates, 5 dollar movie Tuesdays, Husker games, and trips to Hopcat together. In their senior year of college, on February 8th 2025, Colton proposed to Julie in the Haymarket in Lincoln after taking her to lunch. After the proposal, Julie was surprised to find that many of her friends and family were waiting to congratulate them in a nearby bar. They all partied, and then the wedding planning began! Now, these two are currently living in Omaha, Nebraska. Colton just got accepted into medical school at UNMC in Omaha and Julie will be getting her master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and working at Children's Hospital. They just embarked on their newest adventure and adopted a beagle puppy named Oakley! They are both SO excited to celebrate with all of their favorite people in June and officially become husband and wife!
