Colton told me early on in 2026 that this would be the year we would get engaged. I was eager and beyond excited, already beginning to dream about what would become one of the happiest days of our lives. However, we knew that our Lord is in the details and we couldn’t make even the smallest decisions without Him guiding us. Well, after staring at the calendar app for quite some time it felt as if this date was highlighted specifically for us — May 22, 2027. 5:22. Galatians 5:22 says, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.” A reminder that with the Lord at the center of our marriage, much fruit will be produced and He will be glorified! Ephesians 5:22 says, “Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord.” We understand that this union is a continuous decision to willingly place my life in the hands of another out of pure trust and devotion. It’s a mutual posture of humility and love, a choice to be unified that goes beyond the logic of this world. The date also happens to fall in the month right in the middle of February, Colton’s birthday, and September, my birthday. How beautiful and intentional is our Father! We love that He is so personal in sharing His love and excitement for our future covenant- one that reflects His own love and relationship with the Church. Thank you Jesus!
