We’re finally getting married!

As many people may think.. meeting someone in a bar doesn’t end in your “fairytale” dream. But for us, it most definitely did. We met at Nashville north, where I went to line dance with the girls and Colton went to drink with the guys. But one night everything changed for the both of us. I was there with my friends and he was there with his buddy whom we both knew mutually. We met, we chatted, Colton was playing hard to get. Truth be told, I was determined to make him have a conversation with me. He was dodging conversation with me and every question I asked, his answer was short.. but all it took was a high five. As we were passing each other in the bar, I high fived Colton.. standing there slightly confused, he high fived me back. But to be honest at the time that’s all that came to my mind on how to get him to actually talk to me. Well… it worked! We chatted, got to know one another.. then ended the night with “will you go to dinner with me tomorrow?” I said absolutely, I’d love to. Fast forward to Saturday evening.. approximately 45 minutes until our date.. I was running late!! I was still at least 45 minutes away from my house as I was spending the day with a friend who just moved here. Meanwhile he was already showered, eyebrows were all done up and he was looking spiffy. Me on the other hand, got home within minutes of him showing up..I sprayed myself with perfume and we were out the door. Colton wore nice jeans, a black long sleeve and nice boots. I was in a tillamook t shirt, jeans and sandals.. he most definitely looked more put together than me. He honestly thought I was standing him up on our first date because I was in and out of service all day and not to mention I did not get ready for this date! That night we went to tomato street, where we talked, laughed and got to know one another more. Ever since then, besides hunting camp or trips to see my family, we’ve been together every day since. God only knows our life would be different if I didn’t high five him in the bar.. I’m thankful each and every day my witty and determined personality, caught the eye of this playing hard to get man.
