Back in 2017, I (Savannah) was house sitting with a friend for my Aunt and Uncle. My friend was seeing a guy who wanted to hangout so we invited him and his friend (Colt) over for a fire. Thats when I met Colt. We hungout and talked for hours and eventually the night ended in a Nerf Gun war (us girls totally won) and of course, our first kiss! We talked for a few more weeks until I invited him up to our family cabin on Priest Lake for 4th of July weekend. We spent 5 days together with no cell service, so plenty of time to get to know eachother. After a not-so-great-idea of Colt daring my dad to try and get him off the inner tub boating, Colt left the weekend with two broken ribs and a bruised lung! (My dad won that bet even though he felt HORRIBLE) Although, anyone who knows Colt, knows he just found a different way to break his ribs! Towards the end of the weekend, after Colt took a dive in shallow waters and almost broke his nose, my Mom pulled me aside and asks me “Savannah, are you sure you want to pursure this relationship?” And without even giving it a second thought, my response was “he’s not going anywhere, anytime soon.” And the rest is history! After a year or so of dating, we bought our first house together, which just so happened to be my Aunt and Uncles house (yep, the same one we had our first kiss in!) since then we have updated rooms and made our house a home. Over the last four or so years, we have been through it all; new jobs, schooling, buying a house, two litters of puppies, a global pandemic, justice reforms, A BABY, you name it. But we always come out on top and more appreciative of our love for eachother than we thought was possible. In January, we welcomed a beautiful baby girl earthside to join us for the rest of our lives together! We have been so fortuante to create this life of ours together and CANNOT WAIT to celebrate the union of our love with our family and friends!
