We met sophomore year of high school and decided to be "boyfriend and girlfriend" and make it Facebook official after talking for a few days before even really getting to know each other. Once we started "dating" we realized how much we actually had in common and how compatible we were, and it felt like we had known each other for much longer than we actually had. We stuck with each other through the typical high school nonsense of growing up and figuring out where we wanted to go to college, what we wanted to do with our lives, etc, and decided to stay together when we went off to college, even if it meant a long distance relationship. UMass Amherst ended up being the best choice for both of us, and we packed our bags and headed off to start freshman year of college together. Junior year of college we moved into an apartment with a few of our friends, and realized that we were super compatible when living together, and don't mind the chores that the other one strongly dislikes. Going home for school breaks was always tough because we weren't living together, and missed being around each other constantly. We decided that we didn't want to be apart for long, and that we would both be much happier spending the rest of our lives together. We got engaged, and the rest is history.
