Is there anything I should know about visiting in October?

Answer

October is peak tourism season in Massachusetts due to Salem’s Halloween festivities, and Topsfield is especially busy around the time of the Topsfield Fair. Hotels book up quickly, so we strongly encourage guests to reserve accommodations and plan travel as early as possible. If you’re planning to attend our wedding, booking sooner rather than later is highly recommended.

Can I bring my kids?

We respectfully request no children at the wedding as this event will be an adult only affair. We truly appreciate you arranging child care and celebrating with us!

Where is the wedding taking place?

Answer

Both ceremony and reception will be held at the Willowdale Estate. The address is 24 Asbury St, Topsfield, MA 01983

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask for an unplugged ceremony. There will be two photographers and two videographers capturing the day, and we would love for our guests to be fully present with us during the ceremony. Photos and videos are absolutely welcome during the rest of the celebration!

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

The dress code is Black Tie. We kindly ask guests to dress accordingly - think tuxedos or suits and long gowns or elegant cocktail dresses. Casual attire such as jeans, shorts, sneakers, or hats will not be appropriate. Let's keep it classy! We want everyone to feel their best and match the vibe of the day! We also kindly ask that guests avoid wearing white, cream, or light green.

Will there be transport provided to the wedding?

Answer

Yes, there will be 3 shuttle buses picking at the Boston Marriott Peabody where the room block is being held for your convenience. Shuttle buses are available to all guests, even those not staying at the room block. Departure from hotel to Willowdale estate is at 4:30pm. Make sure you are on time as the buses have to leave and arrive at the same time to the venue. If you miss the bus you will have to find your own transport. They will also be driving guests back to the hotel when the event ends at 10:30pm. If you do not plan on using the shuttle buses we suggest booking your transport ahead time due to October being a peak tourism season and the Topsfield Fair which is near the venue.

What will the weather be like in Massachusetts in October?

Answer

This time of year, the weather can range in Fahrenheit from 50-70s (°F). Mornings and evenings can be chilly, while afternoons tend to be warmer. Whatever the weather may be, the venue has fans for the heat and heaters for the chill in the tent! If it does decide to rain on the big day, rest assured the venue has a rain plan if needed to keep us all comfortable and dry!

Is there parking at the wedding venue?

Yes! Complimentary on-site parking is available for guests. Handicap-accessible parking is also located near the main entrance.

To book, navigate to the Travel section and click “View” next to the Boston Marriott Peabody listing, which will take you directly to our room block link. Room block dates will be October 8-10 (Thursday check-in, Saturday check-out) Check-in time is 4:00pm Check-out time is 12:00pm Guests booking outside the contracted dates may see an error when using the link.
