Since we were both involved in clubs at college, we kind of already knew each other. Still, our paths didn’t truly cross until we were both voted onto Southwestern Oklahoma State University's Homecoming Court in 2023, where Brock and I were paired as escorts. We both do not doubt that the Lord had his hand in our story that night (with the help of a close friend who paired us together because he knew I thought Brock was pretty cute). Later that night at a post-homecoming event, Brock came up to me, and nearly the whole night was spent talking to each other. Brock reached out the next day, and while I was a little hesitant at first, I’m so glad I said yes to dinner. We made it official a month after homecoming. It's been a running line for us that, although neither of us may have taken home the crown that year, we definitely walked away with something even better. Two years later, Brock proposed on the day of SWOSU's homecoming in Weatherford, OK, the town where our story began! Here is our very first photo together, right before the parade!
